The brothers sat nervously in the dingy waiting room of the Maui County jail. The older brother, John (names changed for privacy), paced back and forth while the younger brother, Mark, sat with his head in his hands.

“This is all my fault,” Mark muttered. “I can’t believe I was so stupid.”

“It’s okay, Mark,” John said, trying to sound reassuring. “We’ll get you out of here. I already called a bail bondsman and he’s on his way.”

A few minutes later, a cheerful man entered the room. He introduced himself as the bail bondsman.

Earlier that day, John had talked to 24hr Best Deal Bail Bonds.

“All right, let’s get your bother out,” the bond agent said, pulling out some paperwork. “But first, I need to know what happened and how much the bail is.”

John quickly explained the situation. Mark had been arrested for a DUI and his bail was set at $10,000.

The friendly bail agent nodded and began filling out the paperwork. “I’ll need 10% of that amount upfront,” he said. “That’s $1,000. Do you have that on hand?”

John nodded and paid with his debit card. The bail bondsman gave them a receipt and told them to wait while he arranged for Mark’s release.

After short time that felt like an eternity to poor Mark, a guard came to the room and told Mark he was free to go. In the waiting room, John hugged his brother tightly and thanked the bail agent for his help.

“No problem,” the bondsman said with a wink. “Just make sure you show up for your court date, and stay out of trouble!”

The brothers left the jail, grateful to be reunited and determined to put the ordeal behind them. From now on, they promised each other, they would be more careful and avoid any situations that could land them in jail again.
